

Larry Metcalf Jones, 67, of Auburn, ME passed away peacefully with family by his side at 11:20 PM Tuesday November 4th, 2025. He was born on January 9th, 1958, in Boston, Massachusetts to Earl Jones and Helena Metcalf Jones.
Larry is survived by three children: Andrew Jones and girlfriend Maria Poulin of Auburn, ME; William Jones and girlfriend Margo Jacques of Buxton, ME and Elizabeth Jones Michaud and husband Danny Michaud of Acton, ME; eight grandchildren: Nathan, Erik, Tihun, Lola, Rhyann, Abigail, Peyton and Harper; two brothers: Aubrey Jones and wife Cindy of Lebanon, ME, Kevin Jones of Blaine, ME and many aunts, cousins and friends.
He is preceded by his father Earl Jones, his mother Helena Metcalf Jones, and his brother Michael Jones.
Larry grew up and attended schools in Scarborough in his adolescent years. His family moved to Waterboro when he was in high school. After graduating from Massabesic High School, Larry was a master carpenter and jack of all trades; there was nothing this man could not do. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, motorcycles and making memories going on many adventures. He also loved Pepsi, ice cream, music and his family and friends.
The family is planning to have a celebration of life in the near future. Larry’s wish was to have his ashes spread at the West Quoddy Head lighthouse in Lubec, ME which will take place in the Spring/Summer of 2026.
The family would like to thank the staff at Odd Fellows’ and Rebekahs’ House in Auburn, ME, where Larry lived for the past two years. The love and caring nature of the staff and residents have been felt from day one and will always be remembered and cherished. This place and the people are special.
Larry was so loved and will be missed by all.
