Laura Nezol

Laura was born December 06, 1939, in Elizabeth New Jersey, the daughter of Theodore and Mary Dobrowolski.

Laura was a very giving person in life, often choosing to have little for herself so that she could help others. She was a hard-working woman, assisting with the elderly as a CNA at The Lamp, then holding a career as a secretary within the Lisbon School Department followed by many years in retail at Marden’s. She loved dancing and went out with one of her best friends Bev quite often for many years. We remember watching her getting ready in the large mirror in the living room, putting on her earrings and lipstick, and wearing spectacular outfits as we admired how fantastic she looked. She also very much enjoyed her camp on Annabessacook Lake in Winthrop, taking her grandchildren to spend the night up there every chance she could. Such incredible memories there. Laura’s home was also where we all gathered for years for Holiday meals to enjoy her Polish cooking along with the traditional foods. We fondly remember helping to make Polish nut rolls (walnut rolls), bow tie cookies (Chrusciki), stuffed cabbage (Golumpki), Pierogies, and of course Kielbasa. There were always multiple tables set up all over the kitchen and playroom to fit everyone, and it was always so much fun to be there. Her greatest passion though, was raising and spoiling her children and grandchildren.

Laura, nicknamed “Peppy” by her family and friends, was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Mary Dobrowolski; husband, Stanley Nezol; siblings, Josephine (Suzie) Spata, Dorothy (Dottie) Bellas, Kazmar (Bill) Dobrowolski, Stanley (Stash) Dobrowolski, Stella (Bubby) Horre, Janaka (Jenny) Horvath, Matthew (Beno) Dobrowolski, Mayon Dobrowolski

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
