
Son of Mary Coughlin and Lee L Underwood Sr.
Lee served in the Navy in his younger years and later worked in the greater Portland, Maine area at the South Portland Works Department, Legion Square Market, Hannaford Brothers, Busy Bee as well as Standard Electric.
He was always doing for others and often would buy used bikes to repair and clean so that he could give them to neighboring children who didn’t have one.
Lee often cooked for his friends and would deliver his delicious creations to anyone who wanted one.
If it was your birthday, he would be sure to leave you a prime rib or lobster dinner at your door.
When he was in the hospital recently he learned that one of his nurses had a dog.
The next day she was delivered a brand new dog toy for her pup.
Lee had a big heart and was always thinking of ways to please others.
Often times he would sit on his porch waiting for the neighborhood dogs to stroll by, ensuring that they all received treats.
He loved all animals but especially dogs.
Lee is survived by 2 sisters, Terry and Cheryl, a daughter Shelby as well as nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lee will always be remembered for his big heart, great sense of humor and giving spirit by all who loved him
