

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Leo Fafard on June 25,26
Leo dedicated his life to his work as a welder, a profession he took great pride in throughout his career. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependable nature, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Beyond his work, Leo will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew and loved him.
Among those who will forever cherish his memory is Mary Jane Huerta, his former wife and lifelong best friend. Their bond was one of deep love, unwavering friendship, mutual respect, and enduring support—a connection that remained strong throughout the years and was a source of comfort and strength to them both.
Leo is lovingly remembered by his beloved daughter,
Melissa Goodwin; his stepchildren, Jessica Riga, Richard Riga, and Alicia Riga; his son-in-law, Carlos Maldonado; and his beloved grandchildren, Sengtavanh Senesombath-Riga, Jesel Wilson-Riga, Anthony Riga, and Vincent Maldonado Riga. Each of them held a special place in his heart and will carry his memory with them always.
He was predeceased death by his beloved mother, Marilyn Van Pelt.
Leo’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness, loyalty, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
