Louise Helen Ashton

Louise was born a daughter of the late Carl & Delia (Martell) Moulton on Aug. 31, 1934, Limerick, ME.She attended local schools, met and married Maurice Ashton of Maplewood, ME, raised two daughters in Acton.

Louise was proud to be Maurice’s carpenter helper and a homemaker.They enjoyed dancing, gardening, bird watching, living in FL near Maurice’s family (and her favorite place, Disney World) for several years before moving back to Acton.Louise was very compassionate about serving her family, friends and many others by sending greeting cards, baking and visiting.Her passions were lively music to dance by, soothing romantic music and Talk Radio.Through the numerous tragedies in life, her faith in God sustained her.

Louise was predeceased by her husband, parents, three brothers; Ernest, Richard & Robert Moulton; one sister, Ruth Dumont Lessard.She is survived by two daughters; Susan & husband Mark Hurd of Acton and Brenda & husband Jim Freniere of Danbury, NH; one sister, Amanda Noble of Sanford; two grandchildren, Jason Hurd of Falmouth, ME and Barbara Hurd of Seaside, OR; her dear cousin Charlotte Henderson of Washington, ME, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff at the SMHC/Pavilion in Sanford, ME and Joy Gilkey for the devoted, loving care they gave Louise.They would also like to thank Life Choice Hospice for their compassionate care.

A celebration of life and graveside service will be announced and held later in the Spring at Highland Cemetery, Limerick, ME.
