M. Laurette (Paiement) Marshall

She was born on March 1, 1940 in Portland, the daughter of the late Charles R. and Blanche (Hines) Paiement.

Laurette lived in Portland her entire life and retired from Maine Medical Center after 17 years of service. Among her interests was crochet, crocheting Afghans for many family members. She enjoyed all types of music and was a sports enthusiast. She was very loyal to her Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins.

She was truly happiest, above all else, when surrounded by her loving family; family was her life focus. Most important to her were her two sons, Billy and Mark, who were devoted and helped, care for her through her final journey.

She is survived by her two sons, Billy Marshall Jr. his fiancé Jody Carrigan and grandchildren Billy and Kylie; son Mark Marshall and his daughters Kayla, Holly and Ann Marie; her sister Shirley Pennrod of Portland, her brother Richard Paiement of Portland and her sister Ruth Cunningham of Texas, along with many nieces and nephews.

At Laurette’s request there will be no visiting hours and burial will be private at a later date.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her VNA Hospice Team for the loving and tender care they provided throughout.
