Mildred Bertha Eaton

Buxton, ME – Mildred Bertha (Treadwell) Eaton, 92, of Buxton died Thursday, September 1, 2011, at her home with her family by her side. Mildred was the wife of C. Murray Eaton. They celebrated over 70 years of marriage.

She was born in Cornish, ME on April 13, 1919 a daughter of the late Harris & Hilda (Crawford) Treadwell. At the age of nine, Mildred found her calling in helping to raise and teach children. This passion lasted over the next 80 years as she raised her daughters, and helped her care for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Besides her husband Mildred is survived by her five daughters Myrna Finney and her husband Edward of Freeport, Rita Menard of Standish, Cheryl Gorham and her husband Robert of Buxton, Mary Proctor and her husband David of Casco and Gail Eaton of Buxton. She also leaves seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well a sister Gladys Lemire of Saco and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery, Hollis, ME.
