

He was born on November 16, 1938, at Baker Lake, New Brunswick, Canada where he grew up.
Normand met his future wife, Hermance, at a dance in Quebec and married on July 4, 1959 in Canada. They moved to the United States in the early 60’s and lived in numerous places in New England finally settling in the Biddeford, ME area. They spent 30 years being snowbirds in Florida and the warmer months at their final home in Maine.
Normand worked as a contractor and owned Collin Brothers with one of his brothers for many years. After which, he continued in the construction field alongside his sons until his retirement. When Normand was not working, he enjoyed playing cards, golfing, hunting, fishing, and vegetable gardening while making many lasting friendships wherever he lived over the years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Hermance Raymond Collin, his father Albert Collin, his mother Alfreda Morin, and his stepfather Aldric Morin along with several sisters and brothers.
He is survived by his four children: Michael of Lyman, ME, Susan & her husband Scott Morgan of Lyman, ME, David and his wife Charlene of Huntersville, NC, and Tina and her husband Paul Gray of Taylors, SC. Along with ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and several sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to thank St. Andre’s Nursing Home and Hospice of Southern Maine for the care and compassion they showed their loved one in his final days.
A graveside service will be held on July 26, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford, Maine directly followed by a luncheon for family and friends at St. Joseph’s Church in the hall downstairs.
