Peter you will be missed but not forgotten It was many years ago that I walked into Photomarket. The first store across from Duncan Donuts. I bought an N50 Nikon and a 28-70 f2.8 sigma lens. And I kept coming back for more film and more conversations with Peter. When he moved up to Forrest Ave I followed as did so many. Shortly after that I started working for Peter. I became his Handy Man, along with working at the store and working on his apartment building and the store. We had a great arrangement. All the work I did I was paid in photography equiptment. It worked out great for both of us. Peter was a wonderful person, a good friend. Over the years I would make it a point to stop in to say hi and to buy more stuff. Quite a bit really. I will miss you Peter you will always be a heartfelt memory. God bless, rest now in peace. Dick

Our deepest condolences and prayers to all of you It was a heart broken to know that Peter left this world. It was a shocking surprise 😢.
We always will remember and miss him It was so nice to see and talking too. It Was a delightful time. He was down to earth in all his conversations and his beautiful smile that came from his heart makes us feel like family. And of course his favorite chicken bowl was right across from his Bussiness which he enjoyed very much. We will remember you to eternity and may the lord smiles when he raise you Peter Doe. 💐🙏😊

It's been just around one year since seeing Peter last. I was at the shop with my daughter who was getting serious about photography. This was the first time I had seen Peter in many years. No matter how infrequently we saw each other, it felt like that no time had passed. He and I go back to 1984. I had started a video and photography business and was shooting weddings. Some of the first weddings I taped, he did stills. We hit it off quickly and he became very good friends. I'm still in shock just hearing about his death. I can't go further do to overwhelming emotions.

I have been a customer of Peter's since I moved to Maine in 1987. I am an avid film photographer and frequented the Photo Market. Peter was generous with his knowledge and always took the time to answer my questions. Needless to say, I learned a lot from him over the last 33 years. I don't know if he knew how important he was to me. I want his family, especially Rachel, to know how much I cared about him. He will be missed.

The first camera I bought from Peter was in the 80’s in the triangle store. I continued doing business with Peter right through yesterday, when I picked up some processed film. Going into Photo Market very often involved a chat with Peter. Peter, I will miss you and our chats.

Peter and his One of a Kind Photo Market was a Guiding Light Source for anything Photographic. I am forever indebted to him for handing me a small handwritten note from a customer in his Store back in Woodford's in ' 89. That note and its Writer, whom I would later become a good friend with, opened a Photography Door to our newest Sister City in Archangel, Russia. I have recognized some familiar Names the last few days - Michael Berube - Annette - Peter Scarpaci - Jon, whom I just spoke with a couple weeks ago - and one that I haven't seen but will always remember - When I had to have one of those small Passport Pictures made - I stopped in to PM. and Meghan - I apologize if her name is mis-spelled. I was asked to take a seat and while looking back at Meghan, she reminded me " Dennis, you must be sober - No smile " - I had to grit my teeth to NOT SMILE when she said that. Peter always had some wonderful and knowledgeable people to help everyone ! We have lost a Great Light but I hope the Candle at Photo Market stays Bright. In Sympathy and Friendship to Rachel and her Family and to Peter's Brothers and Sisters and their Families.
