Born on September 27, 1946, Phil grew up in Gorham, Maine. He graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a degree in Business and went on to build a career in sales. Phil had an innate talent for storytelling and a remarkable ability to make people—especially kids—laugh.
Phil and his wife, Judy, raised their family in Saco and later settled in Arundel, where they lived for 30 years before moving to Waterboro a few years ago. He loved playing chess and was a longtime member of a local chess club. He also enjoyed golfing and treasured walks on the beach with Judy, collecting sea glass and savoring the coastal beauty of Maine. In retirement, Phil and Judy spent their winters in Punta Gorda, Florida, where they made new friends, discovered new places to explore, and enjoyed attending pre-season Red Sox baseball games together.
Phil is survived by his daughter, Lisa, and her husband, Dan; his son, Sean, and Sean’s fiancée, Stephanie, and her son, Sawyer; grandchildren Michael, Lea, Alyssa, and Melanie; Melanie’s husband, Austin; great-granddaughters Layla, Avery, and Hazel; and his brother, Richard. He was deeply loved by his family and will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and the joy he brought to everyday moments.
