Phil was born in Portland, ME a son of the late Emery E. & Mae M. (Livingston) Thomas. He was a jack of all trades and started Thomas Drywall in the early 1990’s after working in the home improvement industry for many years.
In recent years Lucky enjoyed collecting different things. Among his various collections included swords, knives, paintings and nature type knickknacks; such as wolves, Indians and eagles. He was also a movie buff, enjoying watching all types of movie genres; DVDs & Blu-rays were also a part of his many collections. In his younger years he truly loved his motorcycle and rode just about any chance he got; even doing toy runs to help the less fortunate.
Lucky had a rough beginning to his life, but despite that grew into the nice, caring and giving person many knew and loved. He made do with what he had and was a very resourceful man. He would do anything for anyone and never asked for anything in return, even in his time of need.
He will be sadly missed by his four children; Twin sons, Philip J. Thomas Jr. of Gorham and Damian J. Thomas of Westbrook, his daughter Nichole M. Trefethen and her husband Kyle of Westbrook and his youngest son Troy E. Thomas Sr. of Westbrook. He also leaves his four grandchildren Austin, Kaden, Kynzlea and Troy Jr. as well as his sister Vivian E. Thomas of Portland, his brother Emery E. Thomas Jr. of Tucson, Arizona and several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 12 p.m. at the Wilde Memorial Chapel in Evergreen Cemetery, 672 Stevens Ave, Portland with Rev. Philip Shearman officiating.
