He was born in Caswell Maine. The son of Shanel Lavoie and Lillian Ouellette. He married Lucille Laforge on November 26, 1956. He is survived by his wife of 66 years.
He is survived by his son Scott and his wife Paula. He was predeceased by his son Thomas.
He is also survived by his Daughter-in-law Kathy Lavoie, by 5 sisters and 1 brother, Kathleen, Viola, Patricia, Frances, Gloria, and brother Larry. And he has several grandchildren and great grandchildren. His brother Loomis died earlier.
Shanel worked for Stanley Magic Door for over 40 years. He was a very loving man, he loved his hugs, he always had a smile on his face.
