Teresa Rose Allen

Born in Rumford on October 16, 1939, Teresa was the daughter of Michael and Annie (Edukonis) Kezal. She graduated from Stephens High School in 1957. Two years later she married Larry Allen of Dixfield, on April 30, 1959. During Larry’s service in the U.S. Air Force, the couple moved frequently, eventually settling in Norway and later Gorham, Maine, where they raised their two children, Anna and Jeffery. Teresa also played a formative role in helping raise her eldest grandson, Dustin.

Teresa was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a long-time employee at Hannaford’s main office in Scarborough. After retirement, she remained very active—volunteering for nearly 25 years at the Flower Box at Maine Medical Center.

Teresa most enjoyed the simple things of life: family gatherings, gardening, cheering on the Red Sox, finding a bit of luck at Foxwoods, and hunting for bargains at J.C. Penney.

She was predeceased by her parents; her siblings Elizabeth, Mary, Margaret, John, Joe, and Anna; her son Jeffery; and many special brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Larry; daughter Anna; grandsons Dustin (and his wife Letha), Andrew, and Alex; great-grandson William; and brother Mike Kezal.

Services will be held on June 23, 2025 at 1PM at Saint John’s Cemetery in Rumford.
