His passion in life was his love for Jesus Christ, his family and making music; lots of music. He could play any musical instrument and played by ear. He was in many bands starting at the tender age of fifteen in Old Orchard Beach, ME. He was then in a band called the “Lancers” and played at the Caledonia in Livermore, ME, and the Eagle and Snow Shoe Clubs in Rumford, ME. He was later in a band and played at the Riverside in Mexico, ME. His band, “Country Is” made an appearance in 1969 on the Dick Curless Show. His kids will always remember with fondness the way dad belted out, “Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog” and jammed on his piano, “Great Balls of Fire” by Jerry Lee Lewis. Terry played Gospel music in his church, he also played many weddings and other special occasions all over Maine and out of state. He never met a stranger; he knew so many people and was grateful for each and every one of them. He was so happy to live in Maine. He loved hiking the mountains, swimming in the rivers and then drying off in the sun and doing all of it in the same day.
He will be laid to rest in the family plot in Hanover, ME at a later date with a graveside Celebration of Life.
Donations may be made in his memory to: Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice, 15 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston, ME 04240. Terry’s family would like to thank all who cared for him at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME as well as the Hospice nurses who cared for him at home.
