He was born in Portland, ME on March 15, 1953 a son of the late Theodore and Lenora (Shean) Sampson. He grew up in Buxton, attending local area schools and graduated from Bonny Eagle High School.
He worked at Lanco Assembly Systems and loved to go fishing and on family adventures.
Besides his wife, he is survived by sisters Barbara Davis and Sheila Sampson. He also leaves his daughter-in-law Sally Sampson and his grandchildren Jerrica, Thomas and Tegan as well as his sister-in-law Carmen Estabrook and her husband Mark and his brother-in-law Harold Doughty.
Family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to staff of the Hospice of Southern Maine for there care and support.
There will be no services with a private family burial.
