
He was born on August 7, 1942 in Richmond, California. He was the son Paul and Hazel Clark. He attended St. Margaret’s School in Blackfoot, Idaho and graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1960. His education continued at Glendale City College, Glendale, CA and Idaho State University, Pocatello, Idaho and earning his BS in Human Resources Management at Southern New Hampshire College in 1997.
Bill was a proud Navy Chief Petty Officer, serving 27 ½ years in the US Navy; stationed in NAS Key West, Florida, NAS Moffett Field, California, NAS Barber’s Point, Hawaii, NATTC Memphis, Tennessee, NAS Brunswick, Maine. Deployments include, Adak, Alaska, Guam, Philippines, Okinawa, Taiwan, Iceland, & Spain. After his retirement from US Navy in 1994, he worked for Primerica Insurance and as a property manager.
He belonged to Disabled Veterans of America and was active in the Harpswell by the Sea Home Owners Association, serving as the President of Board of Directors and the dockmaster.
He loved to travel, spending winters in the Lower Florida Keys and seeing his 10 grandchildren. He and his wife, traveled through the Canadian provinces every fall. Woodworking and boating were his hobbies; he was an accomplished craftsman and repair expert.
Predeceased by his parents; brother, Gary; daughter-in-law, Alicia Clark.
Survived by his wife, Marci, of the home, brother, Bob Clark, of Monroe, WA, children Jeanine Clark Ernst and her husband, Steve Ernst of Tampa, FL; John Paul Clark of Arlington, TN, Rebecca Sinclair- Bennett and her husband Horace Bennett of Aberdeen, MD, grandchildren Emma Ernst, Shelby Quay Ernst, Vivian Ernst, Laura Kate Clark, Lela Tchoundjo, Phillip Ernst, Kyrsten Bennett, Audrey Clark, Ivy Bennett, Emily Bennett.
Family will greet friends Wednesday, May 4, 12-1. Service of Thanksgiving & Celebration and Witness to the Resurrection will be a 1:00. Inurnment will be at the columbarium in church garden at Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church, 84 Main St. Topsham, Maine.
