Carl lived a full life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and took pride in his ability to handle rattlesnakes. He was funny and witty, always up to making you laugh. Whenever something positive happened, he attributed it to his “good, clean living.” He was loving and accepting of people, especially his family. He cared deeply about his work at the Colorado State Hospital, using his sense of humor and patience to connect with his patients on a deeper level.
He loved his kids, grandkids, driving, and scratch tickets! He served in the army for a short time, before being honorably discharged for his asthma, but spoke fondly of the times he had.
Carl passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
There will be a Celebration of Life potluck held at Dittmer Park on Saturday, March 27, 2027 from 12-2 pm. Anyone who would like to commemorate him is welcome, bring your best memories and favorite food dish to share!
