Amy Doster Jung, 50, passed away on September 7, 2024, at her home in Raleigh, NC surrounded by her family. Amy was born July 25, 1974, in Concord, NC to Bob and Kathy Doster. Amy is survived by her husband, Andy, of 28 years; sister, Kristin Trick and husband, Matthew; brother-in-law Peter Jung and wife Sue; nephews Andrew Trick and wife Hannah, Max Jung, Alex Jung, and Kyle Jung; niece, Anna Trick. Amy was the fun aunt and personal math tutor to her nephews, niece, cousins and friends’ children. She was not only a dedicated math teacher in the classroom, but a devoted teacher to scores of youth and young people at various churches in NC. She taught students and young people to live well and strive for excellence. Amy was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. Her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ was reflected in her love and joy in serving others. She modeled a life of devotion to Christ as she poured into younger teachers and church leaders alike.
A celebration of life will be held at Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh on Friday, September 13 at 11:00am. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 9:00am in the narthex at Trinity Baptist. Another celebration of life service will be held at First Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC on Saturday, September 14 at 11:00am. A reception and receiving of friends will follow the service at First Baptist.
