

He was born on January 20, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Andrew F. Kleitsch and Myrtle B. Kleitsch (Poli). During his life he also lived in Kingston, New York, Raleigh North Carolina and numerous locations while serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He was married for 68 years to Norma Kleitsch, who proceeded him in death. During his life he raised four children, three of whom died from Cystic Fibrosis. His wife Norma, was his rock during these times of sorrow.
Andy worked for IBM for 35 years in various positions in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kingston, New York and Raleigh, North Carolina. After retiring from IBM, Andy worked over 15 years at Ace Hardware in Raleigh, North Carolina. He joined his wife Norma as a real estate broker for Howard Perry and Walston in Raleigh, North Carolina.
He was active at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Raleigh, North Carolina serving as Head Usher for many years, and along with his wife, on the Parish Council.
Andy’s passions in life were working with his hands, teaching computer classes to seniors, serving on the residents’ board at Abbottswood Retirement Community and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He greatly enjoyed traveling throughout the world during his time at IBM.
He was proceeded in death by Norma Kleitsch, his wife of 68 years, his parents Andrew and Myrtle Kleitsch, and three of his children: Gregory Kleitsch, Sandy Kleitsch, and Deborah Sahanek.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Wanda Davis, of Cincinnati, Ohio, his son and daughter-in-law Andrew and Carolyn Kleitsch (Miller) of Raleigh, North Carolina, his three grandchildren: David Kleitsch of Raleigh, North Carolina, Victoria Harris (Nicholas) of Caseyville, Illinois, and Carrie Stevens (Mark) of Dallas, North Carolina, and his three great-grandchildren: Aubrey and Amelia Harris of Caseyville, Illinois and Bentley Stevens of Dallas, North Carolina.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 27, 2026 from 6PM-8PM at the Brown Wynne Funeral Home 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh
Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 28, 2026 at 12:00 Noon at The Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 2718 Overbrook Drive, Raleigh with family visitation prior to the service from 11:00AM until Noon.
Burial will be in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Wake Forest following the service
