King was born March 8, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH to Arthur King Howe, Sr. and Harriett Eames Howe. In 1957, he graduated from The Academy, in Newberry Port, MA. Then, he obtained his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Yale University in 1961. King earned his MA in computer science from Stevens Technology Institute, Hoboken, NJ in 1965.
His great joy was singing with Paul Conway’s Hillyer Community Chorus.
King is survived by wife of 44 years, Patricia C. Howe; daughter, Kari Stoltz and her husband, Jerry of Raleigh; sister, Danilie Day Howe of Montana; grandchildren, Haley Chastain Stoltz; and Elesa Ann Stoltz.
A small private family memorial service will be held at Edenton Street United Methodist Church.
