Dean and Wendy, in heaven.
Barbara was born January 5, 1928 in Muskegon, MI, to the late Arthur and Vivian Loberg. She was an accomplished pianist, who later formed a love for the cello, and played with the North Carolina State University Symphony Orchestra, Durham symphony and Raleigh Symphony. She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and a long-time volunteer with Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Don J. Arneberg of Raleigh, her son, Scott J. Arneberg and wife Joanne of Myrtle Beach, SC; her two daughters, Heidi Collins and husband Michael of Hood River, OR, and Holly Feist of Morrisville. She is also survived by six loving grandchildren, Colleen Collins and Kevin Collins of Portland, OR, and Shelby, Lindsey, Wendy and Bobby Arneberg of Myrtle Beach.
Funeral Services will be at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1500 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh NC 27608, on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Her family receives friends following the service at the church. We invite you to mourn and rejoice with family and friends at the loss of a dear wife, mother and grandmother. We know she is no longer in pain, rejoicing, maybe dancing and perhaps even playing the cello in heaven at the feet of our Savior.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund in her name to Our Savior Lutheran Church, the ASPCA or a charity of your choice.
Arrangements under the direction of Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Raleigh, NC.
