Benjamin Selman Padgett, 75, of Raleigh, NC, passed away on April 20, 2023. Benjamin was born March 19, 1948 in Rome, GA. He graduated from the University of South Carolina where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and played football as the starting linebacker from 1968-1970. He was captain of the football team his senior year. Benjamin married Susan Sidenberg on April 20, 1974; they were married for 49 years to the day. Benjamin worked as a manufacturers’ representative and started his own successful business, the Padgett Sales Company. He enjoyed woodworking and was a loving husband and father. Benjamin is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Stanley. He is survived by spouse, Susan; son, Sam; and grandchildren, Nikki, Gabby, Chloe, and Hailey.
