Bernie was born on March 25, 1935. He met Janice at only 17 years old, and the rest was history.
When he went away to Korea, he sent anything he could home (dolls, dishes, etc.) in preparation for them getting married. When he came home, he and Janice bought their first set of furniture with his discharge money. They still have their bedroom set today.
He loved his family, tennis, politics, and travel.
Bernie was preceded in death by his father, William, great granddaughter, Liliana, sister-in-law, Simmy, and brother-in-law, Danny. He is survived by his wife, Janice, two children, Amy and Bill, son-in-law, Ray, 5 grandchildren, Alyssa (& Kendrick), Sara, Jared, Briana, and Serena, great granddaughter, Olivia, brother-in-law, Stew, sister-in-law, Nancy, and several nieces and nephews.
