Jo is survived by daughters, Arlene and Sybil (David); Granddaughter, Amanda; Great-grandson's, Hunter, Colbie and Nathaniel; Great-granddaughter, Kaylee, all from Clayton, NC.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold Rector, and her mother Della Mae Dowdle.
Jo was a long term member of New Hope Baptist Church. She retired from the North Carolina Department of Revenue in Raleigh.
A visitation for Jo will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Mausoleum Chapel at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612. A graveside service will begin at 3:00pm.
