Catherine Virginia Schlosser

Catherine Virginia (Kotzan) Schlosser, 86, passed away at home, April 27, 2022. Born on May 2, 1935 in McKeesport, PA. Cathy was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Joseph Schlosser, her son, Joseph Paul Schlosser, Jr, brother John Kotzan and sister Bernadette Pisarek.

Cathy graduated from St. Francis College of Nursing in Pittsburgh. She had a long career as a Registered Nurse, working in hospitals, nursing homes, home health, and doctor offices. Having lived in a variety of places including Ecuador, Okinawa, Massachusetts, and Ohio, Joe and Cathy moved to Raleigh, NC in 1983, where she retired from Kaiser Permanente in 1997.

She is survived by her sons: James Schlosser and wife Sandra, and Jeffrey Schlosser, daughters Jean Webb and husband Robert, and Janet Pritchett and husband John; grandchildren: Christopher Schlosser and wife, Lydia, John Schlosser and wife Julie, Jessica Clendenin and husband Marcus, Jennifer Baker and husband Sean, and Jessica Dewes Smyth and husband Ben; great-grandchildren: Michael Schlosser and Brooklyn Schlosser, Zachary Clendenin, Isabelle Smyth, Henry Smyth, and Anastasia Smyth; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

A funeral service for Catherine will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Saint Raphael Catholic Church, 5801 Falls of the Neuse Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609.
