Charles Blake Moore

Charles was born November 2, 1927 in Anniston, AL to the late George Blake Moore and Lillie Scott Moore. He was employed with the State Bank of Raleigh for eight years and Wachovia Bank for twelve years. Before moving to Raleigh, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC and then became a member of the Church of the Nativity in Raleigh. He was a member of the NC Deaf-Blind Associates since 1984 and also attended Camp Dogwood Deaf-Blind Weekend since 1982. Charles was a member of the FRAT / Fraternal Association.

Charles is survived by his wife of 51 years, Doris Fay McQueen Moore; niece, Gayle Houser Albright of Charleston, SC; nephews, Steven Houser of Pleasant Garden, SC; Bill Moore of LaGrange, GA; and Douglas Moore of Iowa.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Church of the Nativity, 8849 Ray Road, Raleigh, NC 27613.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wake County; or the Church of the Nativity.
