Wow, I was searching for Chris and I came across this obituary for him. I knew Chris when I lived in Mahopac, NY about 15 or more years ago. He was the most awesome person. While we were not best friends, whenever we were to get together, he would always make me laugh. I used to pick him up in my car or SUV and he would never let me help him with his wheelchair, as he was too proud. I was devastated to see that Chris is gone. But he will not be forgotten!

Chris was a very special guy who made many, many, people smile. He was very gracious and never meet a stranger.  He was a very special person who touched all walks of life.

Chris was such an amazing person. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Can’t believe you’re gone but man we made lots of great memories. 

Chris you were one of the first friends I made when I moved here 18 years ago, Welcomed me with open arms, quite literally, at your 30th birthday party with a beer in your hand.  Little did I know how huge this would turn out to be.

One of my fondest memories of you in pure joy was sitting on the bow of my dads boat on Kerr lake.  It was your stationary spot, great view of the torture of tubers and we doused you often with huge waves, nothing but threatening comments and huge smiles!

Three words...Beer can chicken. The biggest lesson you preached to me was the importance of protein.  I can see you know smacking your lips in full satisfaction of your meal, prepared with love and patience.  You would flash that debonair smile and a quick flex of the bicep, you need that protein!

You would make friends everywhere, whether it be a beach trip where your ultimate goal would be the pier or any bar in Raleigh you always roll away with a few new friends.  I don’t think you ever met a stranger in your life. 

Don’t forget Camping and guns, teaching me to shoot by way of 50 stuffed animals meeting their demise.  Camping at the lake because it was your chance to be outdoors.  Campfires, drinks and good friends...how many summers was that??  Not enough in my book.

Your unwavering commitment to a horrible choice in an NFL team, we will forever disagree ...Jets vs the Pack.  Your unmatched ability with cars...countless messages between us troubleshooting my vehicles, never once did you hesitate or grip about it...well maybe a little with the shocks for the Jeep.

I am angry with you...
For your pride...and not letting those closest to you know what was going on
For your positivity...believing that things will always work out
For your inability to take thing seriously...
For your need to make sure everybody else is ok before yourself...

No matter the qualities that I am angry about, they are your core qualities that made us love you past, present and forever.

My dear Chris. I don't know what to say. I can't believe you are gone. I don't want to say I love you, as you always knew I loved you more than life itself. Everytime I get a text I think its from you saying "Hey Ma" and ending with "Love Ya". I can't imagine my life without you.  Until we meet again. Your Loving Mother.
