Clarice Lowery Pratt

Clarice Lowery Pratt of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, at the remarkable age of 96½.

In 1945, she married the love of her life, Oliff (O.C.) Pratt, and together they shared 76 devoted and joy-filled years of marriage. Side by side, they built a life centered on faith, family, and adventure.

Clarice’s Christian faith was the foundation of her life and guided her in all that she did. She had a servant’s heart and a genuine love for people — she truly never met a stranger. Whether in her home, at church, or in the community, she had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and valued.

Clarice was gifted with her hands and expressed her love through sewing and quilting, creating treasured pieces that will remain family heirlooms for generations. She also found joy in arranging flowers, bringing beauty to everyday moments.

Clarice and Oliff shared a deep love of travel and explored destinations around the world together, embracing each new adventure with enthusiasm — she even rode a camel along the way. Their travels created cherished memories and wonderful stories.

Clarice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Oliff C. Pratt, and son, Randy.

Clarice is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Janice Langston (Ben), Helen McAdams (John), and Susan Lindley (Jay); her eight grandchildren, Troy Ellis (Cindy), Patricia Kenan (deceased), Brian Perry (Grace), Brock McAdams (Simone), Jordan McAdams, Elizabeth Lynch (James), Jack Lindley (Sarah) and John Lindley (Wendy); nineteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved brother, Everett Lowery. Clarice also leaves behind a wide circle of cherished family members and dear friends. Her legacy of faith, kindness, warmth, and adventurous spirit will continue to live on through them all.

A visitation will be held at St. James United Methodist Church, 3808 St. James Church Road, Raleigh, on March 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. and a graveside service at Raleigh Memorial Park.
