Cliff was born in Raleigh on July 25, 1956, to the late Gordon and Edith Purvis. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Black Purvis; his two daughters; Christina Barahona and her husband Alex, and Elizabeth Purvis; his older brother Andy Purvis and his wife Janet; mother-in-law Laura Lea Black; and his brother-in-law Phillip Black and his wife Debbie.
His family will receive friends Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 6:00-8:00pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC. Funeral service will be at 3:00pm Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the funeral home.
