RALEIGH – Corene Mixon Allen, 69, of Raleigh, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Born August 29, 1956, in Dunn, NC, to Willard and Josephine Mixon. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Allen Myer, and sister, Deborah Murray.
Corene was a woman of strength and grace who lived her life guided by faith, family, and love for others. She was known for her infectious laughter, love of teaching, and kind heart. She truly never met a stranger.
A service celebrating her life will be held at Asbury Church (6612 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh, NC 27613) on Sunday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Asbury Kitchen Ministry.
