David lived a full life, embracing every day as an adventure. He retired after 30 years with the FAA, then worked as a telecom engineer for several years. David had numerous hobbies including scuba diving, cycling, singing, and travelling. He was a master woodworker, an expert marksman, and a professional skydiver. One of his most notable experiences was working in Louisville on the railroad post office car. He then continued to demonstrate the skill to others each summer at the Illinois Railway Museum. David participated in the X Games on ESPN as a Sky Sport Organizer. He also had the opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center. David volunteered his time with visitor services at RDU Airport, the YMCA, and as a tax preparer for AARP. He also volunteered for the Wake County Board of Elections and was recently selected as a judge for the 2023 elections.
