Dennis Allen Godwin

Born in Wake County on January 17, 1975, he was a son to Dennis Wayne Godwin and Linda Bowling Godwin and was one of four children.

Allen was a skilled carpenter and worked in construction for most of his life. He enjoyed boating at the lake in his earlier years, fishing, and the outdoors.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, 9050 Strickland Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615 with Kenneth Hagan officiating. Burial to follow at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh.

A visitation will be held the night before the service from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609.

Allen is preceded in death by his daughter, Dreamer Elysia Godwin; father, Dennis Wayne Godwin; sisters, Crystal Godwin Harden, and Michelle Godwin Barbour; and brother, Jerry Lee Godwin.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Godwin of Louisburg; sons, Allen Jordan “Jordan” Godwin of Wilson, and Jeremy Taylor Godwin (Olivia) of Bailey; daughter, Skyler Brooklyn Godwin of Fuquay Varina; a grandson on the way, Adam Orion Godwin; the mothers of his children, Andrea Godwin and Debbie Ryan, and many nieces and nephews.
