Please accept my sympathy.  Mrs. Hummel was a special mother and lady. I always looked up to her.  She always made everyone feel welcome in her home.

DEAR MICKEY AND JOANNE,
PLEASE ACCEPT MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY UPON THE PASSING OF YOUR MOTHER, DOLLY. WORDS CANNOT BEGIN TO EXPRESS THE FOND MEMORIES I HAVE OF YOUR MOTHER AND FATHER. I CAN REMEMBER THE FUN WE HAD WHEN I WAS GRADUATING FROM COLLEGE, AND PARTICIPATED IN A MIXED COUPLES BOWLING LEAGUE AT THE MIDDLETOWN LANES. YOUR PARENTS WERE TEAMED WITH THE MUMMAS AND THE LEAGUE WAS NOTHING BUT FUN. THERE WERE ALSO THE MANY DINNERS WITH THE HUSBANDS AND WIVES OF OUR SOUTHERN GOLFING GROUP IN LANCASTER AND THROUGHOUT CENTRAL PA. YOUR FAMILY WILL ALWAYS HOLD A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART. MAY YOU HAVE MANY MEMORIES TO HELP SUSTAIN YOU IN THE FUTURE. I MUST ALSO TELL YOU THAT MIKE WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST INFLUENCES ON MY LIFE. DOLLY WAS CERTAINLY THE STRENGTH BEHIND HIM. My sympathies and prayers to the family.  I work with her daughter Joanne in NC and have been able to hear many wonderful stories about her mother over the years, but particularly of late.  It is clear she lived a very full and loving life, and leaves behind a wonderful legacy and many happy memories for her family!
