Dorothy Freeman Green

She is survived by three children, Mebane Galloway of Knightdale, Sherry Bunch and husband Curt of Knightdale and David Green and wife, Jeannie of Raleigh. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Billy) Green, Jr. and a son, William Green III.

Dorothy worked for more than 25 years in the Department of Statistics at North Carolina State University and along with her husband, raised four children on their dairy farm (Green’s Dairy) located on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh.

A memorial service will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, on Thursday, August 4th at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and at other times at the family home, 5200 Green Acres Lane, Raleigh. There will be a private interment immediately following the service at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, 27603.
