Dorothy Jane Rooth, beloved wife, mother and friend, died Saturday evening at the age of 85. She was at home surrounded by family. Long time Raleigh resident, she worked at Southern Farm Bureau, N.C. State University’s foreign language department, and the family business S & R Sales. She was a member of Bay Leaf Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Charles J. Rooth, son Gary C. Rooth and his wife Nancy and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; Sheri J. Bennett and her husband George and two grandchildren; Craig J. Rooth and his wife Hong and two grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Ruth M. Hamilton and her four children and her six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial Service will be on Monday, May 21st 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC 27609.
