

His parents Edward Milton Barwick, Sr. and Frances Faulkner Barwick preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Laura Taylor Barwick and his brother Carl Franklin of Araphoe, NC. Mother to Carl’s children is Mary Helen Barwick. Ed’s nieces are Laura Lee Barwick Honbarrier and Debbie Barwick Audilet. His grandnieces, Margaret Frances and Laura Elizabeth Audilet, Carlee Jane and Sarah Ray Honbarrier. His grandnephews Barwick Oldfield and Baird Alexander Audilet. His nephews of Wilson, NC, Brewer Malachi-Womble Heath and Brody Taylor-Womble Heath. His cousins of LaGrange, NC, IvyJo Albertson and Jim Barwick.
After graduation from Arendell Parrot Academy in Kinston, Ed attended Lenoir Community College earning an Associate degree in electronics. He worked for a short time at ITT in Raleigh, NC. Due to his love of planes and travel, he went to work at American Airlines in Raleigh, NC. Later He was transferred to Miami, Fl. He worked with AA for 36 years.
He was a lover of plants and his garden while living in Raleigh. Ed won first place at the NC State Fair with a Boston Fern that he ‘babied’ for several months. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and waterskiing at the coast. He also enjoyed hunting on the farm.
While in Raleigh he had several cats, his favorite a black cat named Climber, adopted from Mia’s Mafia Cat Rescue. In addition to Climber, he lived with ex- racing greyhounds and birds. His favorite bird was Cookie who would tell him that she was “Daddy’s Girl”.

Ed will be cremated and a Life Celebration will be held later in the fall.
