Elaine Susan Ludewig

Elaine, native to Pennsylvania, was born on July 10, 1956 to the late Lester Strock and Hilda Rowe.

Elaine was blessed with the large family she wished for growing up and delighted in sizable festive gatherings often. Extending beyond her own family, she was Momma Ludewig to all the friends of her children. Loved listening to her record collection when she was young and continued to blast the radio with her kids on the weekends, ‘jamming out’ while cleaning was a habit passed down. One could always find Elaine in the middle of a Final Fantasy game, the garden, enjoying piecing a puzzle together, or curling up with a good book when she wasn’t in the kitchen cooking up a feast. She was an avid and passionate cook and would indulge the selective palates of her children by making a variety of the same meal if needed. Elaine always made sure the favorites were made in turn, and no one else could come close to her delicious brisket. She reveled in finding the perfect themed family gifts, all while finding it on sale, and doted on her grandkids in a grandiose manner.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 39 years, Michael Ludewig; her daughters Stephanie Brackett, Christina Williams, Kimberly Ludewig, and Jennifer Ludewig; and her grandchildren Chloie, Emma, Lucy, Austin, Sara, and Kris.

A memorial service will not be held at this time.
