Elizabeth Sue Breakey

Elizabeth lived a life rooted in learning, connection, & joy. She delighted in nature, was an enthusiastic traveler, & found beauty everywhere. She poured her soul into her family, the people she cherished most. As a preschool teacher, Ms. Elizabeth nurtured curiosity & kindness in every child.

She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart & husband, Barron Breakey, & is survived by her four children: Todd (Rebecca), Adam (Carrie Ann), Melissa Pierce (Jack), & Elizabeth A., along with her son-in-heart, Randy McConnell (Marcy) & cherished brother, Jack Stinson.

She loved being a Nana the most. Her spirit lives on in her grandkids: Eliza & Emma; Fallon Lovelace (Charlie), AJ, Jack, Olivia & Connor; Ezekiel, Paxton, Keller & RumiRuth. As her family grows, so too will the light of her legacy.

A Celebration of Elizabeth’s Life will be held Friday, June 6 at 3:00 p.m. at Edenton Street United Methodist Church. Instead of flowers, honor her by walking in the woods, singing by a campfire, or sharing a quiet moment in nature with someone you love.
