As my uncle Renaud has mentioned above, aunt Flo was known as "Latite" so we always called her in French: "tante Latite". She was small in stature but her smile and laughter were larger than life. She was a kind, thoughtful, caring and loving woman.  

My mother Bessie, her sister in law, recalls fond memories of aunt Flo. They were very close. In fact, aunt Flo took care of my younger brother David and me after our father passed away at the young age of 29 (Guildor). She was at our house when uncle John proposed to her with a diamond ring at a Christmas eve family gathering. 

I have fond memories of the summer holidays when Paula and Jackie (later followed by Wendy) visited. We attended our grandparent's 50th Wedding Anniversary in our nice dresses. We played on the lawn in front of our grandparent's house, we helped our grandad pick vegetables from his garden and enjoyed many activities together. Family reunions were large and happy ones. 

I also remember spending some time in Red Hook with my brother, swimming in the pool on a daily basis and eating amazing food. Laughter, happiness and family harmony were present at Uncle John and aunt Flo's house. They were happy times. 

I spoke with my mother the day I heard about aunt Flo's passing. She was reminiscent and reflective on the phone, sharing some memories she had with aunt Flo and uncle John. She was sad and deeply affected by this loss, as we all are. 

Aunt Flo, "tante Latite", may your laughter sparkle in heaven. May you reach out to your siblings and parents, to other family and friends. May you rejoice with them in peace and harmony.  You will be missed. RIP 



Dear Mama Flo, I am truly blessed to have been loved by you. You welcomed Wayne and I into your home and made us feel like a part of your family from day one. Some of my favorite memories of you are from the many pool days spent at your house just talking, laughing and floating around the pool. I will miss those conversations and our walks through the fair every year. You had such a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. I’ll never think of or pull off another phone prank without thinking of you and your Canadian accent. I know your light is shining down on all of us. God bless you and keep you until we meet again. 

To me she was mom to many others she was known as mama Flo. She was stubborn, funny, so proud of her kids and grandchildren. She LOVED CATS and feeding “her birds” (especially her hummingbirds). She taught me how to be a mom, cook, plant flowers and garden amongst so many other things. She loved when we gathered as a family for Holidays and random dinners.
In summer she loved our pool days and crab boils. She LOVED MY DADDY beyond measure and taught me the true meaning of love and commitment. Sadly for us mom earned her angel wings unexpectedly on December 23, 2020. We will miss her more than words can ever describe. I have comfort knowing our sweet Daphne and her beloved family members and cats she’d missed for so long, were there to welcome her at the gates of heaven. The void left by her sudden departure is indescribable but I know she’d want us to lean on each other, look after daddy and her cats and keep her traditions alive. That is exactly what we will do. I love you mom and I’m gonna miss you like crazy until I see you again at the gates of heaven.

My dear little sister Flo, 

I will never forget the morning when John called to tell me that you had passed away. I just could not believe it. I have no words to express my grief. 

All that we have lived through together came to mind. I was 10 years old when you were born. You were so small that we started to call you “Latite”, which means “The little one”. You were such a cute little baby. We all loved you so much, and that love has never stop growing.

So many memories come to my mind. Your smile and your sense of humour was appreciated by all your friends. It is easy to understand why John, your husband, fell in love with you when he met you, and you with him.  That love for him has never ceased to grow because he was the best person you could ever meet. Then came the children: Paula followed by Jacqueline and Wendy.  Then your Grand children Kevin, Danielle and Emma. You were the best mother one can ever dream to have. Your raised them with love, great joy and wisdom. That is why they all remained so close to you and John, and to each other. You and John have taught them what is a real family, a family that stays together. Your great joy was to have them around the table to celebrate anniversaries and Holidays.  You were a great cook and I will always remember your lasagna and the good soup you would prepare for me. We used to text everyweek to update me with the latest news and add pictures about the family. I will miss that...

Everyday when I celebrate Mass, I am asking God to grant you peace in his Home, to give you the reward you deserve for all the good you have done during your life, for all the joy you have spread around you, for all the love you have showed to us. I am sure you have been welcomed by all those you have loved on earth and that are now in Heaven.  Together you must have celebrated your first Christmas in Heaven in great joy. Until we meet again, rest in Peace!

My dear Aunt you have left us to soon, you had a awesome sense of humour, and a great smile, your family and children was very important to you.  And I was blessed to have you as my Godmother💐I still cherish the summer that I got to spend with your family it was fabulous. Now you are with all your sisters & brothers give Dad a big hug and kiss for me.🌹You will never be forgotten .  Our condolences to the Biedl  Family ✨✨

I was so very sad to hear about the passing of Mrs. Beidl. She will be so missed by all in her immediate family, as well as her large extended family that she has made over the many years of her wonderful life. I have known her for forty years, and have to say, am very lucky for that. Wendy and I have been best friends since kindergarten and I have such amazing memories of playing at their house and how Mrs. Beidl always had the coolest snacks. I have so many wonderful memories. God has a special spot in heaven just for her.  You all, will always have a guardian angel leading your way...she will let you know.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Aunt Flo had a warm and infectious smile and personality. And such a sense of fun and humour. I enjoyed the visits and occasions we shared, I will miss my Aunt Flo. My folks no longer use a computer or online devices. We spent time together yesterday to help understand the sudden loss of Dad's sister and share the sadness. Speaking on their behalf, please accept their condolences, you are all in our thoughts and hearts.
