George Combs Sr. passed away on September 16 after a long case of Alzheimer’s. After military service in the Army Air Corp during WWII, he was a dedicated letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Goldsboro.
He is survived by his son George Combs, his grandson Joseph Combs, and his granddaughter Sarah and husband Carlos Burgos, all of Raleigh.
The family will have a private service.
