So sorry to hear of your loss, but happy to hear he finished the course and gave God the glory.  Looking forward to meeting him someday.

Please know that, as you have stood with us so many times over the years, we offer our love and heartfelt support in any way that may be helpful. We pray that your incomprehensible grief will be replaced by only cherished memories. To that end, we would like to remember Marcus on our Museum Donor Walk.  This will be a permanent inscription along the walkway outside the main Museum next to the Rachel Carson Garden.

We extend our deepest sympathy to you as you grieve the painful loss of Marcus.  We know his death will leave an empty hole in your lives and you will miss him terribly, as will many other people whose lives he touched and enriched, ours included.  We hope you will be comforted in knowing that Marcus is rejoicing in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, no longer suffering or in pain.  He faithfully ran his race and fought a good fight here on earth and has now entered into the joys of our Lord.  Until we see Marcus again when we get to Heaven, we know he would be pleased for us to carry the torch for Christ like he did, not to mention how much it would glorify and honor our Lord.  Mark and Mikki, no one ever raised a better son who had such a tremendous testimony and made such an impact on so many people.  

You will be in our prayers in the difficult days, weeks, and months ahead.  We pray that God will provide the strength and comfort you need.  You are so special to us.  We love you.

Thinking of and praying for the Twisdale family today as they lay Marcus to rest. I feel sad in my spirit, but at the same time joyful for Marcus. I am so thankful to have had the pleasure of his friendship and the impact he made in the life of my family and the thousands of other lives he touched in his short 35 years. As another poster said so wonderfully God needed Marcus at this time and loaned him to us for a short time so we could see Christ through him. What a testimony!! What a man of God!!! Marcus, you are loved!!!

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your son. I work in Network Operations at the credit union. I was never acquainted with him but was deeply touched by reading his testimony that I found on another website. I weep with you in your sorrow, but rejoice in knowing that he is far better off. I was saddened to hear of Marcus' passing. He and I were the only two students in Mr. Watkins' AP European History class at Friendship in 1996! Marcus was unique, in all the best senses of the word, and he always had a smile for everyone, in spite of his travails. Most importantly, his love for Jesus was unrestrained and unashamed. My prayers will be with his family, as I know there will always be an empty seat at their table. I'm grateful, however, that Marcus no longer needs our prayers, and that he's experiencing levels of joy and peace that we can only await with anticipation!

What a searing loss for you, and yet a hope-filled time as well. May you find great comfort in this.... that Marcus's Faith and peace in Jesus and willingness to be used in testimony and inspiration in others' lives will continue to have positive ripple effects for years and years and years and years to come... 
When I think of his triumphant entry into Heaven and the arms, and cheers, and joys that welcomed him as a loved child of the King, I sit here literally moved to tears! I picture him as he has crossed that finish line, and received a glorious new body... in astonishment and rest after trials that no one would want to endure, so brimming with worship for God! I think of how thankful he must be that God worked through his family and friends to enable him to make it through challenging times on the earth, such that God received glory and he is there to experience it FOREVER. May God grant you glimpses of the ripple effects of his life, and the fruit that remains; and may He preserve every precious memory you shared together until more will be made in Heaven.
