Hugh Allen Hodge

Hugh Allen Hodge, 50, of Raleigh, died Monday, November 30, 2009 at Rex Healthcare, Raleigh. Hugh was born March 31, 1959 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh to Charles Derwood and Mary Louise Cox Hodge. Hugh was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He served as an assistant scout master with Troop 314 at Saint Raphael’s Church. He enjoyed music,the arts and tye dying. Hugh could often be found strumming on his acoustic guitar and learning new roles as a part-time actor at the African American Cultural Complex. Hugh was employed with Patsy Aiken Design. He is survived by his wife, Lorna Goudey Hodge; Eric Hodge; and Alexander “Alex” Hodge; mother, Louise Hodge; brother, David Hodge; and sister, Susan Hodge all of Raleigh. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church, 120 W. Hargett Street, Raleigh, NC 27601. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2nd at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary’s Street, Raleigh, NC 27605.
