Hunt Denniston Cable was born in Tampa, Florida on July 21, 1992 to David Ray Cable & Kathryn Ann Wabol. He attended Cleveland Court for elementary school & Lawton Chiles for middle school in Lakeland, Florida. Hunt graduated from All Saints Academy in 2010 where he was active in all-things athletics & played both lacrosse & soccer. Hunt’s gregarious personality was highlighted by him being named homecoming king & Mr. All-Saints.
Following high school, Hunt attended Elon University in Elon, North Carolina where he majored in Strategic Communications. Hunt was an active member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, in classic Hunt fashion, holding the Social Chair position. Hunt worked as an Admissions tour guide for all 4 years of college & he held a leadership role over this program his senior year. It’s innumerable how many prospective students chose to attend Elon because of Hunt’s charisma & his love for his university. Hunt deepened his passion for athletics by participating in volunteering opportunities with Elon Athletics.
Upon graduating, Hunt began working at Red Hat where he stayed for the last 8 years. Hunt received countless promotions & held many different roles during his time with Red Hat - making an impact on Red Hat’s events, legal, and IT department.
Hunt was passionate about sports - specifically all things Tampa athletics from the Tampa Bay Lightning, to Tampa Bay Buccaneers, to the Tampa Bay Rays. Hunt's love of sports extended outside of the confines of Florida and all the way internationally - Hunt was a huge English Premier League Soccer fan. Hunt was a season ticket holder for the North Carolina Courage & North Carolina FC soccer teams. Health & wellness was a significant part of Hunt’s daily life - he was an ardent member of the F45 community & he attained over 1,000 classes taken this year. If you couldn’t find Hunt, there was a good chance he was at Alamo Draft House watching the most recent movie premiere (and most likely being critical of its performance). Hunt was a music enthusiast, he traveled up the East Coast to see his favorite musicians like Dead & Company, Coldplay, & Jimmy Buffet. Most importantly, Hunt loved being a dog-dad to his black labrador retriever, Walter Jameis Cable.
Hunt found his greatest love in Liz Bargamian. They began dating in the summer of 2018 and Hunt immediately knew that she was the love of his life. They were engaged in November 2022 & were planning to be married in July 2023.
Hunt was a friend to all. Hunt had this amazing ability to make you feel like you were his best friend and his only priority when he was with you. This, plus so many other reasons, is why his loss is felt so profoundly by those who knew and loved him.
Hunt is survived by his fiancé, Elizabeth Bargamian; his father & step-mother, David & Wendy Cable; his mother, Kathy Wabol; his brother, Hamilton Cable; his grandmother, Judith Wabol; and many aunts, uncles & cousins. Hunt is survived by more friends who loved him immensely than can be accounted for in this obituary.
