Inez was born in Candor, NC on July 19th 1932, the daughter of John Frank Stutts Sr and Rebecca Bessie Lamonds Stutts. She married her husband of over 50 years in the Presbyterian Church of Candor on Sept 20th 1952. After Inez retired from her position as an office manager at the US Department of Labor in Raleigh she enjoyed the company of friends and family, as well as continuing to pursue her love of travel.
Inez was a shining light in the life of everyone who met her, and she will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Inez was preceded in death by her late husband Jefferson Davis Brooks III, and is survived by her daughter Sharon Elizabeth Phillips, and a grandson Noah Kenneth Scribner.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Sunday, September 12th at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, September 14th at Northwood Cemetery in Southport, NC.
