Jean J Sauls

Jean was born on March 18, 1938, in Marion, Virginia to the late Aubrey Burton and Fannie Flemming Jenkins. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jean found her greatest joy in caring for her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Harold Dean Sauls Sr., who passed away on June 25, 2018.

She is survived by her loving children, daughters Terry Spell of Wendell and Arliss Wise (husband Harold Wise), and son Harold Dean Sauls Jr. (Dean) and his wife Tricia Sauls. Jean was a cherished grandmother to 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Her love was unwavering, and her warmth could fill a room. She was happiest when surrounded by her family.

Jean was surrounded by love and care in her final years, especially through the daily presence of her daughter Terry, who walked alongside her every step of the way.

She loved bluebirds, Diet Coke, and Chick-fil-A, and her deep devotion to her family was evident in everything she did. Jean will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her tireless care for others, her pound cake, broccoli casserole, and the legacy of love she leave behind.
