He is also survived by Sherry Elaine Caton, Shannon Renee Wyatt and their children, Anna, Sarah and Mary Helen Caton and Cole Wyatt.

Jerry grew up in Lexington, NC and moved to Houston, Texas when he was 10 years old. He went to Sam Houston State University on a basketball scholarship. He worked most of his life as a Commercial Drywall contractor.
In 2001, Jerry built his own custom designed steel-framed house in Raleigh, NC. He dreamed it and built it against a lot of odds.
Jerry was an avid fan of Classic Rock 'n' Roll. He attended hundreds of concerts and music festivals in his 74 years of life.
He was a die-hard UNC Tarheels fan and he also loved his Houston Astros. But above all, his greatest joy was watching his daughters and grandkids play their own sports. You could always find him cheering them on with the biggest heart and the biggest smile.
Jerry had a generous heart and if you asked him for help, he would never hesitate. He would have wanted people to remember him for his loving dedication and passion for life. He never gave up. He was a determined man with ambition and drive. He always worked very hard, sometimes months without time off, to provide for his family. He was a proud man.
May the heavenly Father and his family in heaven welcome him with grace, love and a little bit of Rock n Roll.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609, followed by a memorial service at 6:30 PM.
