She was born in Jacksonville, FL, relocated to Raleigh and attended Broughton High School. She received a BA in Psychology from
Queens College in Charlotte and later worked for NC State Government in Raleigh as a research statistician.
She is survived by her stepson, Robert J Bell, Jr, of Apex, NC and 2 cousins, Lynda Harris and Mike Gardner of Atlanta, GA. Her
parents, Joel and Elsie Winfree, of Raleigh, NC, predeceased her.
Visitation is at 1:00 pm on September 15, 2026, followed by the Memorial Service at Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC
27609. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
