Jose Miguel Infante Sr.

Jose was born June 8, 1919 in Holguin, Cuba to Armando and Ana Infante. He was a graduate of the University of Havana School of Law and attended Dartmouth College. Later he received a Master’s in Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Jose was a Spanish teacher in the Wake County Public School System for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Raleigh.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen Infante; daughters, Martha DeMartino and her husband, Richard of Raleigh; Eileen Dominguez and her husband, Leonard; sons, Jose M. Infante, Jr.; and Jose Rene Infante and his wife, Dora I.; sister, Mirella Guell all of Miami; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2010 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 5801 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. The family will receive friends 1:00-1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
