Joyce Braswell Myers Goldston

Joyce was born April 29, 1931 in Pine Level, NC to Charles Richard and Bertha Lee Creech Braswell. She attended Princeton High School where she excelled in Basketball. Joyce was employed with Westinghouse Corporation Meter Division, retiring after 35 years of service. Joyce was a member of the Capital Church in Raleigh.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Alton Ray Myers and John Goldston; siblings, Vonnie, Robert, Louise, Eunice, Worth, Bill, Hazel and Frances.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Myers Branch ( Ed) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Joel E. Branch (Amy) of Fuquay Varina; Lori B. Radford (Kevin) of Garner; Melissa B. Million (Brian) of McGee’s Crossroads; Megan Branch of Raleigh; and the lights of her life, great grandchildren; Brooke, Cole and Bailey Radford; Sarah, Lydia and Anna Grace Branch; Allyson, Garret, and Kelsey Million; sisters; Luda Hinnant of Smithfield, Betsy Pate of Princeton; sister-in-law, Lena Rose Braswell; brothers-in-law; Bernice Langley and Monte Howell; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends at Chadwick.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2010 at Princeton Cemetery in Johnston County. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29th at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.
