Katherine Hall Tommerdahl

Katherine Hall Tommerdahl, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother took wing on June 18th. Words can scarcely convey the degree of beauty, loyalty, and love that she gave so freely throughout all her life. Mother, we know that what is eternal within you has become one with the infinite and yet, will always dwell within all those who had been gifted by your compassionate spirit. Her family gives thanks to God for her life. Katherine was a proud Democrat and was a faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where for many years she taught her cherished Fidelis Sunday School class, all of whom she loved as sisters.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husband Gene Tommerdahl, by her parents, Linden and Nellie Hall and by her beloved sister, Ruth Hall Garland. Surviving are: her daughter, Lauren Dale and husband, Donald McHose of Ft. Mill, SC.; her son Eric of Raleigh,; her sister Helen Stallard; her only niece, Nancy Strohm of Knoxville, TN; sister Sadie and husband, John Mason of Jacksonville, FL.; three grandchildren, Kasey, Erin and Greer McHose of Ft. Mill, SC.; loving friends, Susan and Robert Cusson of Raleigh, and last of all an assortment of cats and dogs that she lavished her love on throughout her life.

A Memorial service will be held 11 AM Friday, June 22nd, at Hillcrest Baptist Church. A private burial will be held at a later date in her hometown of Norton, Virginia. Share your condolences at www.brownwynneeastmillbrook.com
